Released Jan. 2003
We are pleased to announce the completion and availability of Colorado Skye's first CD. We call it "Skye's the Limit" to reflect our optimism and belief that the band's best days are still ahead of us.
The CD has recordings of both competition sets that enabled us to have a very successful debut in our first full season of competition in the Western United States Pipe Band Association. We have included the revised version of the Selection which will debut in the 2003 season.
We have three solo tracks featuring some of Colorado's finest soloists.
We have a big dose of traditional pipe band tunes as well.
We stuck to the basics of piping and drumming. No guitars, synthesizers, congas, didgeridoos, kazoos, anvils, or kitchen sinks. That works for some groups, but we want to keep it real for now. Just straight ahead piping and drumming with some classic tunes.
